FAQ

  • How far out can I book my appointments?

You can book for the whole year as long as you have your deposit in house.

  • How long do the manicures last?

A manicure can last 2-3 weeks. We don't recommend passing the 3 week period since nails grow out and can lift and catch on to hair, clothing, etc. that will damage or break your nails

  •  What is the difference between Gel X and Acrylic?

Gel X is a Gel based extension system made and used entirely with Gel.  Unlike Acrylic that uses a bonder and monomer system with chemicals that can bring out allergies and skin issues, for some, Gel X is an extension that already comes with the nail shape, length.

Gel X allows the natural nail to grow healthy under the extension. Your nail will grow without damage or the constant replacement of a new set.  If the nail breaks the Gel X system protects the natural nail and usually (unless a very dramatic injury) the extension is the only part that will come off.

  •  Why don't we use dip?

Dip is not used at Nails by Nivea because the first 3 ingredients in the base coat for dip are the same three chemicals used in CRAZY GLUE -___- .  In the nail industry glue has been used for years BUT is used at the free edge which is NOT connected to live tissue.  Once the glue is on the nail bed it is soaked and absorbed by the skin.  This can lead to so many dangers in the future.

Another reason NBN Studios refuses to use Dip is because of the actual action of the product.  In order to put the color on most will dip your nail inside the product, this product (if using popular colors) has had MANY fingers dipped which then allow fungus and bacteria to spread from one client to another.
